Notes: [1] Distel cites Monet notebook on sale to Deudon "pour le compte de M. Hoschedé," who had gone bankrupt. [2] Seligmann archives note presence of this painting in Staub-Terlinden's home during 1930 visit. Staub-Terlinden put paintings on deposit with Wildenstein some time after 1938 exhibition, Wildenstein purchased c. 1942-43, per documents in Foreign Funds Control Investigative Reports.
