Robinsonekspedisjonen is a popular Norwegian reality television program debuting in 1999. In the of fall 1998 TV3 purchased the broadcast rights to air their own version of Expedition Robinson. Norway was one of the first countries to adopt the Robinson format following its success in both Sweden and Denmark. While it has never achieved as high of ratings as that of Denmark and Sweden's versions of the show, it is still considered a ratings success. The name alludes to both Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, two stories featuring people marooned by shipwrecks. Following a two year hiatus after the VIP season with Denmark and Sweden, Robinsonekspedisjonen returned in 2007 and has seen a season over season ratings growth since.

In Singel 24-7 none of the contestants will get voted out. The viewers can chose which contestants will be living together. In Singel 24-7 Direkte two of the couples will each week be split up. The 2 single contestants will each week get an assignment where they will be competing against each other. The winner of the assignment will get to choose who he or she will be living with for the next week, and can also take him or her out on a romantic date. Who the other single contestant will be living with is the viewers choice.

The show was broadcast for two seasons, during the spring and autumn of 2004. In the first season Bente Hafslund was the woman getting married, in the second season Ann-Kristin Gresby. Neither ended up being married on the show.
