Jolene

Jolene is a woman who earns her living by working behind the bar in a strip club, who calls football hooligans her family and who has made choices that still haunt her. But she has a plan. Director Elza Jo van Reenen embarked on a three-year adventure with Jolene and closely followed the rollercoaster of Jolene's life. The result is an intimate portrait of an adrenaline junk who - despite everything - chooses not to ruin herself, but to follow her dream.
