Rim sherd of open vessel (a cylindrical cup or bowl). Red on cream slip, burnished. Band of red paint at lip, with bivalve shell below with 2 tick marks on either side (as if in quotation marks) Inside red slip, fine pinkish fabric, wheelmade. Paint worn off at lip, some encrustation. Probably LHIIIA2 (c. 1375-1300).
