Married 3 August 1872 to Anne (9th daughter of Sir Charles des Voeux 2nd. Bt. Lord Sandys died without issue. Major Alison. Possibly Major Frederick Alison younger son of Sir Archibald Alison 1st Bt. With his elder brother Archibald, later a General in the Army, Frederick was present at the second relief of Lucknow where both brothers were wounded. ADC to Sir Colin Campbell.
