1500-1350 BCE
Smooth, bulbous macehead with central shaft. The central, drilled shaft is smooth and straight and presumably allowed the macehead to be affixed to a handle. The object was broken in half vertically but has been repaired. The photograph shows the macehead's underside.
6.4 x 5.9 cm (2 1/2 x 2 5/16 in.), shaft-hole diam. 1.6 cm
Excavated from Yorghan Tepe, Iraq; Original Field Catalogue #30.2.379 (February 1930, object 379) "mace head; G50."
