c. 460-450 BCE
One on side, a nude Silenos (companion and tutor of Dionysos) stands with one hand on his hip and a storage vessel (amphora) in the other. On the left is a thyrsos (ivy-topped Dionysian staff) leaned against an invisible support. On the right is a rock. The word “kalos” (beautiful) is written faintly in front of Silenos’ face.
