Side A: Three warriors arming. Right foot of first warrior to right near spear butt and part of a shield, legs of second warrior to right with spear shaft at upper left, legs of third warrior wearing ankle guards to left, frontal Chalcidian helmet with double crest and horns set on shield decorated with bull's head shield device. Relief contours; dilute glaze musculature. Red for ankle guards, baldric, and tassels of scabbard; inscription in tondo: [KAL]OS
