Porcelain with interior decoration painted in underglaze cobalt blue and with gold enamel painted on a red enamel ground added to the exterior at a later date; with spurious underglaze cobalt-blue mark reading "Da Ming Yongle nian zhi" within a single circle on the base.

Jian ware: dark gray stoneware with dark brown glaze, the markings in iron oxide; the rim banded with metal. From the kilns at Shuiji, Jianyang county, Fujian province.

Numbered Jun ware: light gray stoneware with variegated magenta and blue glaze; with Chinese numeral 10 (shi) inscribed on base before firing
