Shallow circular dish supported by a slender cylindrical pedestal that flares at the base; underside of dish gently rounded, with sides rising to a slightly everted rim; white stoneware with transparent glaze faintly tinged with a pale celadon green color; glaze covers entire dish and pedestal down to the foot; underside of pedestal base unglazed. From northern China, possibly from the kilns at Gongyi, Henan province. One of a pair with 2006.170.241.2.
