Quick to learn his new job, Private First Class Richard W. Ashton observes some of the ducks which he purchased and distributed to the villagers to get them started. He passed out 1100 ducklings with the condition that they would return half the price of the ducks when they sold the ducks, allowing him to repeat the procedure. (U.S. Army Photo)
